The following is
an imaginary possibility for a creation myth. It is a theoretical hypothesis
for what may have taken place in the creation of the known universe. It
is not another cold and scientific explanation like the "big bang" theory,
but another way of looking at the workings of an omnipotent entity with
magical capabilities beyond our imagination. It is for comparison with,
and in addition to, the story of creation as set forth in the book of Genesis.
It is a thought, not a vision, not dictated by some force outside of my
own self, just an idea:
* * * * * * *
1. In the beginning, there was nothing at all, only empty Space, before the arrival of the one we shall from henceforth refer to as GOD. The Universe as it was, was nothing but a vast open volume, a void, a vacuum, with neither light nor matter. For GOD had formed this space as his first act of creation. He did make the place into which he would build the Universe.
2. And all of the space of creation was then within him, for all of his intangible being of energy and light was surrounding this vast sphere of space inside. As all matter is composed of energy and space, so was creation then as one tremendous particle of matter.
3. In the mind of GOD had already been conceived the pattern of creation. All of the spirit that was he then, was of the same design and order. By the force of his will then, did he divide himself into infinite parts of the one he was. Each part then became an infinitely small version of the one that was. The smallest particles of matter were formed as he became one with the great void of space.
4. The LORD and Creator then was not as one thing, but as one thing formed of countless things. No more was he as one, but as many that were unified as one. He did sacrifice himself unto his first creation. And this shall be known as the first sacrifice. What he was, was no more, but what he was to be now became reality. And many ages of time did pass, as the LORD existed in reality of matter, understanding and mastering the limitations of form.
5. And the one mass that was all of the light in the dark void was as a huge and brilliant star of blinding brightness, that was all of the energy and matter in the universe. The number of those things that were then was three. There was the bright star: the one of many. There was the dark sphere of void which surrounded the star. Also there was that which was unknown that was outside the infinite sphere of darkness: that which was there before there was a space within, or a star within the space.
6. With all things in order in the way in which he decided they should be, in consideration of the laws of physics: which are those which he had to learn rather than create, as they bound him as the result of his first sacrifice: He did then divide what he was again. The one Great Star was dissolved, and expanded out into the space of the void. And this is called the second sacrifice, for the self was again destroyed to create new.
7. Ages of time again passed, as an infinite
number of new smaller stars were born out of the one great star of origin.
And matter also found pattern in dark bodies that were not of the fiery
and energetic nature of the stars, for these too were a part of his design,
and they would become worlds for the highest forms of his creation. So
were the stars and planets created, and the Earth came to exist.
