Ancient Religion:

Those of us who are concerned about religion, philosophy, theology, metaphysics, and the existence of an intangible and immortal SOUL, must try to find out as much as possible regarding the origins of humanity.  For it is in the very depths of the mind of mankind that the link to the divine will be found.  Any connection between this real world and the intangible imaginary world seems more likely to be apparent the closer we look for it to the beginning.  So we must go back in time as far as is possible; 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 years or more.  The earliest records of human civilization exist from about 4000 BC.  Which is over 6000 years ago.  Here, we find written records from the ancient cultures that arose in Africa, China, and Mesopotamia.  The very term "ancient" may include such civilizations such as the Incas, Mayans, Aztecs, Toltecs, etc.  But most of these cultures are relatively new by the standards of time I see.  It could be that there is some sort of overall ignorance involved with the whole idea of these cultures and respective civilizations.  It could be that the "advanced" peoples who discovered them were so unconcerned with who they were as people that they were able to utterly destroy them as cultures.  The fact that all of the mystery cultures are South American, and came into contact with the treasure- hungry Spanish before anyone else knew anything of them is suspicious to me.  As a student of History, I am offended that so little is known of these cultures.  It limits what I can investigate to those ancient peoples who lived in Europe, Africa, and Asia.  This is particularly offensive as I am an American.  I live and exist with those people of the "New World". Eskimos, American Indians, and Latin Americans; the latter having very little concept of the history of their own people.  It is disgusting.

But, we can dig very deep into the origins of those peoples found upon the old world.  The Sumerians and Babylonians of ancient Mesopotamia.  The Africans and Egyptians of the "Dark Continent".  The Oriental peoples of Chinese, Japanese, and Indian, origin.  They left records and written documents of everyday life, which was very oriented toward religious significance.  There was great respect and adoration of deity in these peoples and cultures that we can still look upon today.  We can so look back into time and see what powers were considered divine, and what deities were so revered and worshipped.  There were several prime deities that are common among them all, which is curious.  It appears more like Mankind was left to resolve his own Gods and Goddesses than any particular power came over him.  In all cases where this is true, there is some semblance of uniformity among these varied and diverse peoples of the Earth.  Whether Red, Yellow, Black, Brown, or White, they all seem to come up with the very same divine powers that are in control of the imaginary world beyond.  The imaginary world beyond...  What is this?  It is simply the world we all see as human beings when we close our eyes and depart from the senses.  It is the world of GOD.  It is the world of imagination.  And to see it we must cast out some old ideas that other people have dropped upon us to learn and trust in.  We must begin to take apart who we are.  And this is okay!  We can do this thing.  It is so much like changing the shirt that we are wearing... Or more like taking that shirt all the way off.  Open thyself to truth and it shall come.  Fear not for if it prove to be not invaluable it shall vanish into the ether as all crap doth vanish to those who are seeking to know.

We must first cast out the Judeo-Christian myth concerning the Garden of Eden and the origins of the species to be able to objectively look at any other possibilities.  This is not to say that this myth is entirely without any substance, but that it cannot be used to learn anything of any real scientific value in the quest at this point.  Those who may be reading this who were not raised as children to be of the so-called "Christian" belief system will need to question whether or not the creation myth from their own belief system can hold together under the strain of scientific analyses.  Please note; and this goes for everyone of every possible faith;  nothing I am writing or theorizing about is intended to offend or annoy.  I am not at all about tearing anyone's mind apart, or trying to convert anyone to my own belief system.  I am here to learn.  If you have curiousity, then you are here too.  If you have complete and utter confidence in what others have told you to believe in, then go away.  This is for those who have some doubt.  This is for those who recognize that any amount of doubt that exists within the immortal and eternal Soul must be worked out before the curtain of death is drawn.  For then, there is no more time in which to learn what can only be learned through a lifetime on Earth.  We shall be left with only what we have built in the invisible and intangible realm of reality.

In the earliest beginnings of civilization, the powers of the Divine played a very important and integral role in everyday life.  All we really have to study are the written records of those ancient peoples and civilizations.  Most of these have been interpreted for us already.  We must note that there may have been a very long period of time between the creation of the human species and the inscription of the first written records.  The apparent fact that there are varied cultures which developed independently in different parts of the world brings about both solutions to the riddle, and more riddles.
